Privacy policy

We collect very little, and here is all of it.

Server logs

Like every website, the server records the IP address, requested page, browser string, and time of each visit. Logs are used to keep the site running and to spot abuse, and are rotated automatically.

The contact form

When you write to us, the message, your name, your email address, and your IP address are stored in a private log on the server and sent to the desk by email. We keep messages so we can follow up on corrections. We do not add you to a mailing list; we do not have one.

Outbound links

Retail links pass through /go/ on this domain. We may count how many times a link is used. We do not attach that count to you.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or social-media embeds. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google's servers receive your IP address when the page loads; Google's privacy policy covers that request.

If you follow a link to a brand's site, that site's policies apply from then on, and some affiliate programs set a cookie on the brand's site to credit the referral.

Your rights

To see or delete anything we hold about you, which will almost always be a contact-form message, email contact@thereviewbeacon.com. We answer within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the change will be noted on the corrections page.
