Saatva Review: Which of Its Mattresses Is Worth the Money in 2026?

Saatva sells nine mattresses under one 365-night trial, so we set the Classic, Latex Hybrid, Rx, Solaire and the rest against each other using the product pages and owner reviews.

The verdict in 60 seconds

  • The Saatva Classic is still the default choice: three firmness levels, two heights, and a Queen list price of $2,229 that a sitewide sale was trimming by $325.
  • Every mattress gets a 365-night trial with no minimum break-in period, but a return or an exchange costs a $99 processing fee for the pickup.
  • Free white glove delivery includes in-room setup and old-mattress removal, yet late or rescheduled deliveries by local partners are the complaint we read most often.
  • Saatva’s own review widget averages 4.8 stars on the Classic, while its Trustpilot profile sits at 3.5, a gap worth keeping in mind when you read testimonials.
  • Saatva’s adjustable bases cannot be returned or exchanged at all, which makes them the riskiest thing you can add to the cart.

How Saatva scored

76/100

Well-specified mattresses and the longest trial in the category, held back by a return fee, delivery-partner problems and reviews that look rosier on-site than off.

Worth your money

Pick 01

Saatva Classic from $1,449

The best-selling innerspring offers the widest choice of feel and suits most sleepers.

A dual-coil innerspring with a 3-inch Euro pillow top and Saatva’s Lumbar Zone layer, sold in Plush Soft, Luxury Firm and Firm, and in 11.5 or 14.5 inches. A Queen lists at $2,229 in the shorter height. It carries more than six thousand on-site reviews averaging 4.8. Sort them lowest first and a pattern appears: Plush Soft buyers describing a hard bed, and Firm buyers finding it too soft. Only the 11.5-inch version is approved for an adjustable base, so pick the height with care.

Best for
Most sleepers, especially couples who like some bounce
Weak spot
Firmness labels do not always match the feel
See it at Saatva
Pick 02

Memory Foam Hybrid from $1,399

The cheapest full-size Saatva, pairing gel memory foam with wrapped coils.

At $2,149 for a Queen, this is the least expensive adult mattress in the lineup. It stands 11.5 inches tall and carries a 300-pound limit per sleeper. Gel-infused memory foam and Saatva’s LuxeCool layers sit over individually wrapped coils, and the brand pitches it at side sleepers who want contouring without a solid block of foam. Its 349 reviews average 4.8. The lower-rated ones split oddly, some calling it firm and bouncy and others too squishy, which suggests a feel that sits between camps.

Best for
Side sleepers on the tightest Saatva budget
Weak spot
Neither a true memory foam nor innerspring feel
See it at Saatva
Pick 03

Saatva Latex Hybrid from $1,819

Organic latex over coils, the pick for back and stomach sleepers who run warm.

Twelve inches of five-zone natural latex, wrapped coils and organic wool under an organic cotton cover, with GOLS certification for the latex. There is one feel only, which Saatva says suits back and stomach sleepers best. A Queen lists at $2,759. The weaknesses come through clearly in its 448 reviews: several owners call it hard and very bouncy, and two complain that the hand-tufted buttons press into them at night. Saatva sometimes sends a thin latex topper to soften it, which helped some owners only slightly.

Best for
Warm back and stomach sleepers who like natural materials
Weak spot
Firm and springy; tufting buttons bother some
See it at Saatva
Pick 04

Saatva Rx from $2,139

Built for chronic back and joint conditions, with a softer, contouring top.

The Rx replaces the Classic’s coil design with a Therapeutic Support Core of micro-coils and a graphite and phase-change foam layer, and it stands 15 inches tall. Saatva aims it at people with sciatica, arthritis or herniated discs, and says it suits side sleepers best. A Queen costs $3,639, the same as the HD. Owners with back conditions are split: some report relief, others call it pleasant but no fix, and several found it too soft. A mattress is not treatment; see a clinician about persistent pain.

Best for
Side sleepers with joint pain who want plush relief
Weak spot
Too soft for some, and tall enough to complicate sheets
See it at Saatva
Pick 05

Solaire Adjustable Firmness Mattress from $3,639

Adjustable air firmness for couples who disagree about how a bed should feel.

Dual air chambers give 50 firmness settings on each side in Queen and larger, under flippable comfort layers with latex on one face and memory foam on the other. A Queen lists at $4,789, and split and Upper-Flex versions climb past $7,000. Its 176 reviews average 4.7. Critics describe edges that slope away and cost usable width, and one split-king owner says the halves and bases drift apart daily. The warranty is weaker here too: three years of free repairs, then you pay a rising share of parts.

Best for
Couples whose firmness needs differ or change
Weak spot
Sloping edges and a thinner warranty than other models

What we'd pass on

Contour5 Mattress

Saatva’s all-memory-foam bed lists at $3,179 for a Queen, about a thousand dollars more than the Memory Foam Hybrid, and its 92 reviews are the thinnest record of any adult model in the range. Lower-rated owners call it squishy or simply not the firmness they expected, and one waited on a replacement after a stained delivery. Unless you want dense foam specifically, the hybrid covers similar ground for less.

Saatva Adjustable Base

At $1,245 for a Queen the price is reasonable, but Saatva sells it as final sale: no trial, no return, no exchange. The warranty is handled by Leggett & Platt or BedTech rather than Saatva, and only the first year is full coverage. The complaints we found centre on one side failing and long waits for a technician. Buy a base you can send back.

Shipping, returns, support

Each line below was read on Saatva's own site in October 2026. Policies move; if one has, tell us.

Delivery
Free white glove delivery in the continental US, with in-room setup and optional free removal of an old mattress and foundation. Mattresses are made to order and arrive in an estimated one to three weeks; furniture takes three to four.
Bedding shipping
Bedding, pillows and toppers ship free by ground, leave the warehouse in two to three business days and arrive five to eight business days later. There is no direct shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, PO boxes or APO addresses.
Trial and returns
Mattresses and bed frames get 365 nights with no minimum trial period, and a return or exchange costs a $99 processing fee. Toppers get 180 nights and bedding 45, both with free return shipping. Adjustable bases cannot be returned.
Warranty
Lifetime on mattresses for the original owner: free replacement for defects in years one and two, then repair and re-cover for a $149 fee. Body impressions must exceed 1.5 inches, and queen and larger frames need center support.
Support
Phone, chat and email, staffed by US-based sleep guides around the clock every day, according to the help center. Viewing Rooms cannot accept returns or exchanges.
Discounts
No loyalty program. A $225 ID.me discount on orders of $1,000 or more covers military, first responders, nurses, teachers, seniors and students, but a larger sitewide sale replaces it. Affirm financing runs six to eighteen months.

Still wondering?

Which Saatva mattress is the softest?

Saatva describes the Classic in Plush Soft and the Rx as plush, cushioned beds, and rates the Zenhaven’s Luxury Plush side as medium. Owner reviews suggest its idea of soft is firmer than many shoppers expect: a recurring one-star theme is a Plush Soft Classic that feels hard. If you want real sink, the Rx draws more too-soft comments than any other model we read.

How much does it cost to return a Saatva mattress?

A $99 processing fee covers the pickup, and the refund, taxes included, goes back to your original payment method. The same fee applies to an exchange and covers delivery of the replacement. Viewing Rooms cannot take returns; you start one through the order tracker, by phone or by chat, and Saatva says it donates returned mattresses rather than reselling them.

Does the Saatva lifetime warranty really last forever?

It lasts as long as the original buyer owns the mattress, and only within the continental US. Just the first two years bring a free replacement. After that Saatva repairs and re-covers the mattress for a $149 fee, or offers a one-time replacement at a percentage of the original price. One Trustpilot reviewer said a repair would take the bed away for about ten days.

Can I put a Saatva on my existing box spring?

Saatva says yes if the box spring or foundation is under seven years old, in good condition and has sturdy center support. Slatted platforms need slats spaced under four inches apart. The HD needs its own HD foundation, and the dual-sided Zenhaven requires a solid surface such as plywood or a bunkie board over any slats.

Why do some glowing Saatva reviews carry one star?

Sort the Classic’s on-site reviews lowest first and several one-star entries are plainly delighted, with titles like Best Mattress Ever. One reviewer noticed the same thing and called it fishy. It looks more like buyers misreading the star scale than anything sinister, but it does mean the star breakdown is only a rough guide.

The bottom line

Saatva builds good mattresses and backs them with the longest trial and one of the more generous warranties sold online. The Classic suits most people, the Latex Hybrid suits warm back sleepers, and the Memory Foam Hybrid is the value play. Budget for the $99 return fee in case the firmness misses, which happens often enough to matter, allow extra weeks for delivery, and leave the final-sale adjustable base alone.
